The Malibu Residence

Completed in 2021, this 550m² home was designed for a bluff-top site in Malibu with uninterrupted views across Santa Monica Bay. The architecture is grounded in durability and simplicity, using structural steel and precast concrete to form a clean, modern silhouette.
The upper level holds the main living spaces — a generous kitchen with scullery, six bedrooms, five bathrooms, an office, a sauna, and direct access to a broad outdoor deck with a lap pool and spa. Every space was arranged to take advantage of the coastal outlook.
A central light well brings California sunlight deep into the lower level, transforming it into a relaxed entertainment zone with a media room, bar, and climate-controlled wine cellar. The bar’s back wall features a floor-to-ceiling glass panel, offering a striking underwater view of the lap pool above.
The result is a home that balances robust materials with the openness and ease of coastal living - modern, enduring, and designed to embrace the landscape.
