Positioned in the foothills above the Waitematā Harbour, the Vela Residence was designed as a calm, contemporary family home that feels open, welcoming, and closely connected to its surroundings. Its mono-pitch roof and clean lines create a strong architectural presence while sitting comfortably within the landscape.
The 262m² layout balances generous shared spaces with a private bedroom wing, offering a sense of ease for everyday living. The kitchen, dining, and living areas form the heart of the home - a light-filled space that opens directly to a sheltered outdoor zone complete with an integrated kitchen and fireplace, allowing year-round use.
The kitchen features refined, minimalist cabinetry with a full scullery tucked behind for practical everyday function. Large sliding doors capture northern light and extend the living area into the garden.
The master suite enjoys its own outdoor access and includes a walk-through wardrobe and ensuite. The additional bedrooms are well proportioned and designed for comfort and privacy, with high-level windows bringing in soft natural light.
